I am so glad to hear that we will still be hearing from Richard on the news. I thought when he got this position he would not be doing any more reporting but more overseeing of the new Bureau. When will the new bureau be opening, the real question when will Richard get to be out of Iraq and in his new digs in Beirut? It seems that will be a bit of a nicer place to be if you have to be in the Middle East at all eh?

As Richard said, the Middle East is going through a historic transformation. Here, in my country Lebanon, after 30 years of war and occupation, we are finally free. A year ago I would have never believed that there's no Syrian army in Lebanon. And in 2000, when Israel left the south of lebanon, it was a great joy. Charles, welcome in free lebanon.
